About

StepDadding.com is written and designed by Dustin M. Wax, an anthropologist, college teacher, writer, and all-around good guy living in Las Vegas, NV with his partner, three step-children, and three dogs (which is, he thinks, four too many). The children are 12, 11, and 5 (boy, girl, boy, respectively) and the dogs are 2, 2, and 2 (Boston Terrier, Shih Tzu, and Italian Greyhound, respectively). The partner and mother of them all is (name withheld by request) (age withheld by request).

Comment Policy

A blog is a conversation, and comments are the means by which you, the reader, enters that conversation. In order to keep that conversation productive, interesting, and civil, I have a few basic ground rules for commenters here at StepDadding.

Although this site is intended for adult readers, I make every effort to keep the language and tone friendly and family-oriented. While the occasional mild swear word might be necessary, any comments with harsh language, racist/sexist/homophobic, or other offensive or inappropriate content will be deleted. I will try to be fair, but I am the ultimate arbiter of what constitutes “offensive” language on this site.

Comments that seem to exist solely to direct traffic to or otherwise advertise another site will also be deleted. Comments that add to the ongoing conversation will be kept on the site, even when  I suspect that they are intended to promote another site — I’d rather see interseting comments even if there might be ulterior motives in posting.

Fr the most part, I try to err on the side of caution; if I’m not positive about a comment I’ll leave it up.  But if I decide removal is merited, I will do so without notice.
