What’s in the Review Queue?: “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian” by Sherman Alexie

I absolutely love Sherman Alexie, so when I noticed just now that he’d written a new book, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian I ordered it right away.  And when I saw it was a book for younger readers (grade 7 - 10, according to Amazon) I knew I had to write it up for StepDadding.  Alexie is one of my favorite authors, a Native American who writes hilariously about the place of Indians in the American society they are both a part of and apart from. I’ve bought several copies of his book The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven so I can give copies away;the stories in Lone Ranger… form the basis of the great film Smoke Signals.

Review coming soon, as soon as the book arrives…
