The Return of the Calling Card, Family-Style

This is such a good idea: family business cards. The idea is simple: have cards printed up with all your family contact information on them — names, address, cell phone numbers and mail addresses, the whole shebang. Then hand them out when you met new people, arrange play dates or sleepovers, or need people to be able to contact you for whatever reason. And, if you use VistaPrint you can get pretty nice cards for free (you pay a few dollars for shipping and handling).

A note, though: I don’t like VistaPrint. I ordered cards from them — not the free ones, either — and for days afterward I got emails telling me about “special offers” and website errors that they were deeply sorry for and were offering more “special offers” to make up for and new item releases that, of course, they had “special offers” on — I was getting several emails trying to get me to buy more a day. So I unsubscribed from their mailing list and vowed not to order from them again. There are plenty of other places to get business cards made cheaply that won’t bug the hell out ofme for having the stupidity of giving them my money. You’re welcome to patronize them, but be forewarned.
